Pastor Ty and Jen Phillips

Pastor Ty Phillips has been ministering in a variety of positions for over 35 years. Serving in Texas, West Virginia, Ohio, and Washington DC, he moved here to Lufkin in 2003 with his wife Jennifer and their two daughters, Natalie and Leah, serving as the Pastor of Redland Baptist Church for 7 1/2 years before coming here to Cross Road Baptist in 2010.

Our Beliefs

We are a bible centered church whose focus is the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus, and living out what it teaches in our lives. We strive to come together as a community in order to encourage and uplift one another and spur each other on to good works. We believe the message of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice is the solution to the human problem, and would love to talk with you about why.

Testimonials

Since coming to Cross Road Baptist Church, I have not only grown spiritually, adopted leadership roles, met new people and learned new skills, but I have also found a family. I know my Cross Roads brothers and sisters will listen to me, pray for me and be there for me at a drop of a hat. My church home is a place where I can turn to in times of trial, times of joy and times of stillness.
— Bethany Juarez
I fell in love with the Cross Roads family from the first day I came here. While I was away at college, I missed my church family here and couldn’t wait to come back. Part of me wanted to keep exploring other churches like I did in college, but when I got back home, I knew that I couldn’t leave my family behind.
